Found this issue of the New York Mirror from September, 16th 1959 behind the fireplace in the new apartment here in Brooklyn. We just bought blinds at IKEA for $36 each (very cheap), in 1959 we would have gotten them from Macy’s at $4.99 each! Custom Built! #timemachine #nofilter there are 3 more issues available including comics and ads from the time. Apparently it was a Broolyn/Queens/Nassau publication at the time. Wikiepdia says the Mirror ended in 1842.
Happy I stumbled across this great post. It’s about our human trait to overestimate the impCt future events will have on our life (less than what you think) and how important it is to live the “ordinary Wednesday” really well.
